We will present our 2026 ACONE Presidential Award
and 2026 Honored Member Award.
2026 Presidential Award
Presented to
Scott Elms and Rosilla Owen
Of the
Boston Air Route Traffic Control Center
In recognition of exceptional vigilance and aeronautical judgment,
Scott Elms and Rosilla Owen identified subtle signs of hypoxia
involving a Cessna 310 pilot at 13,500 feet.
Trusting their instincts, they initiated a precautionary descent, which led to the discovery of a compromised oxygen system. Their decisive actions likely prevented pilot incapacitation, exemplifying the highest standards of professionalism and dedication to aviation safety qualifying both Owen and Elms for Aero Club’s Presidential Medal Award and a hearty “Well Done” to each, of the Boston ARTCC!
