The Aero Club of New England’s Day at Martha's Vineyard - July 14
We invite you to join Aero Club members, guests, and others from the aviation community at Katama Airpark (1B2) on Saturday, July 14th(Go/No phone: 508-626-5443). Fly to Katama or take the ferry. Wander among the interesting aircraft that always make an appearance. Prefer the beach? Walk to South Beach or taxi to it. Showers and rest rooms are available next to the restaurant (the Right Fork Diner). Take the Vineyard Transportation Authority (VTA), South Beach Bus #8 to Edgartown for shopping, browsing or touring.
Have brunch or lunch starting at10:30at the The Right Fork Diner (http://www.rightforkdiner.com) on the airport. Since Jamie (the restaurant proprietor) has such a short business season, she does rely on table turnovers at the restaurant. We are more than welcome to have an unrushed breakfast, lunch or dinner, she does request that we use the picnic tables on the grass or elsewhere when we've finished eating so that others can get to use the deck, tables and chairs.
We usually try to reserve a few tables on the deck so most of us can sit together. Jamie relies on turnover so when we finish, we should use the picnic tables on the grass or elsewhere so others can use the deck table and chairs. If you are coming early, with 4-6 people, give her a call at 508-627-5522. You can also use the phone app called NoWait to put your party on the seat waiting list so long as you are within 10 miles of the restaurant.
