FLYING JETS:
FROM LIGHT JETS TO THE BOEING 747

Long-time Aero Club member Ron Gruner will discuss his two recent experiences flying jets as a private pilot. Last September, Ron and his wife, Nancy flew their Phenom 100 light jet to Stockholm, Sweden stopping in Greenland, Iceland, the Shetland Islands and many other beautiful, but occasionally demanding locations. It's a challenging trip but with a little preparation, not nearly as much as you might think.

Ron will also discuss knocking off a bucket-list item for his 70th birthday -- a Boeing 747 type rating. Called the "Queen of the Air" by professional pilots, the 747 is not nearly as difficult to fly as many might think. Skeptical? Then be sure to attend Ron's presentation where he'll discuss his experiences learning to fly and pass the FAA check ride in the Boeing 747-400.
